Sun, Beaches, Margaritas...Here I Come!

Well, I officially booked our 5 year wedding anniversary trip today...We are headed to the Riviera Maya in April. April 24-28 to be exact!

We have not been ANYWHERE since our honeymoon (almost 5 years ago). I mean we have gone on a few weekend trips, but to actually get out of the country and to go to the beach, I am SOOO EXCITED!

The only hesitation I have, is this will be the first time that me and my husband both have been away from our son at the same time. :( I am going to miss him sooo much, but I know deep in my heart, that me and my husband need this time! He will be staying with my parents 1/2 of the time, and then with Craig's parents for the other 2 days. I just get such anxiety thinking about it...

So, now since the trip is booked, I have to PICK UP the workouts!!! I am planning on going to Body Pump tonight (I haven't done weights in over a week), plus get in a 3 mile run. Then Saturday I have planned another 3 mile run with Body Combat afterwards, and then we have our 7 mile run scheduled for Sunday! Hope the weather warms up a little...this cold 15 degree weather with the whipping wind is not encouraging.

I also talked my husband into letting me sign up for WW online this week. I had tried their trial period out, and really liked it. Now, I have signed up for three months. I started Monday, and am already down 1lb. Better than I had been...I haven't lost anything in over a month. I finally had my husband take my measurements on Sunday. I hadn't been tracking that, but I have to be losing inches at least...I mean, 5-6 workouts per week, and NOTHING...I have to be losing inches, and just not knowing it. Now that I have those numbers documented, I hope to be able to check again in 2 weeks to see if I am making progress. (I did have a lady in Body Combat on Monday tell me I looked skinnier!!! oh, the small victories!!!)

Have a great rest of the week!

Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,
Exciting about the trip. My husband and I went to Cabo for our 15th and LOVED it. First time away from out kids during our marriage. You'll have a blast.

I see you are training for a half coming up soon. I hope to run a half this year. I just got the ok today from my physical therapist to start running again after a broken and sprained ankle.

Looking forward to following your training.

Have fun! My hubby and I are going on a trip for his 30th and our 6th anniversary in June and it will be the first time we leave all three of them. Totally freaking out. But I know they'll be fine and so will your little guy!

It will be a GREAT trip, we went to Hawaii last April without our boys and really relaxed!!

I use a lot of the principles of WW to lose weight. It is a great program.. I am sure youa re losing inches.

It's really hard to leave your baby ... for about two hours then you quickly get over it and just get to relax ... and buy them souviners :). I have a personal training certification and I know that once I have clients accountable for their weight to someone (anyone, anything), it makes you so much more focused and driven. Setting goals is always key and you can do it, I know it!!! That place looks amazing and you're going to look stunning sitting on the beach in your new bod drinking a margarita and doing nothing but be happy :).

You will be anxious about leaving the little one before the trip, but once you get there you will have a great time. It always happens with me. I am so nervous beforehand until I get away and realize how nice it is to be on vacation from it all!

That's so fun! My family and I used to go to Riviera Maya every year is amazing. Its like going to cancun minus all the drunk college kids (even though I currently am a college kid haha). Definitely more couple and family oriented. And you will definitely learn alot more by tracking measurements instead of weight. It is very very easy to lose tons of inches without losing pounds. But you don't look like you have any weight to loose!

Thanks for the comment! Trip looks awesome. I seriously think some days that it would be a heck of a lot more fun to be heading to a tropical paradise than Boston in April!! Have a great time!
